Am so late to this party, but I will say this: I got hooked firstly because of Castiel, then Dean/Castiel, then the catharsis of being scared shitless, then SamandDean. Then fun fuckery with myths, legends, horror stories, fairy tales, cultures, religions, etc, because ngl, I'm a goddamn sucker for those things.
