So our adviser for the survey project has been working on her dissertation for a while, and spent a lot of our work days working on it while we were goofing off/trying and failing to write the report. I can see why the information caused confusion, especially if the first announced date was the 25th and the email was only sent on Monday. I'm sure she'll understand.

Yeah, she said not to worry about it. Still, I really wanted to go. Her dissertation was on how privileged people can act as allies and stuff like that.
