Before I leave work.. a few updates.

Today's been majorly productive, which is great. One of the things I've been asked to do at work is set up a quarterly (or possibly biannual) authors series, to raise the profile of the Developmental Disabilities Institute at Wayne State, and in Detroit in general.

Excellent, that really is good news! It sounds like the next best thing to having something fall in your lap. The presentation and the RTOI both sound right up your alley.

I can attest that having a big opportunity fall right in your lap is not always fun. They tend to be big and heavy and lead to absurd overwork...

Anyway. Enjoy the retreat. I would sure love to be someplace like that, quiet and peaceful and away from most of the rest of the world.
