O hai, a drabble

Was glancing through my journal from the past couple of months, and I found this, which was supposed to begin a story that didn't end up existing. And since it stands well enough on its own, here it is.

I love this extrapolation of that scene. Wonderful work, as always. I know RL is very busy, but I do hope you will get time to favor us with your beautiful writing at least occasionally.

Thank you. Another scene I was trying to "make right" in my head...it's not that one kiss was enough for him, it's the kissing and leaving thing that he doesn't want to do over again...

I miss writing. I really, really do. Writing fake office memos for class really doesn't cut it. *sigh* Maybe when I'm done planning this bridal shower and doing traffic school and all those other things that are taking up my non-school time...

Whoohoo! We'll take what we can of your exquisite writing, even (or especially) when it's exquisitely painful. I love your interpretation of this moment--that Jack's not accepting Elizabeth's kiss is the equal of Elizabeth's kiss of betrayal--for both of them. Beautiful angst.

He was trying not to repeat history, but it turns out the lack of kissing doesn't change as much as he'd hoped.

Thank you so much! I miss your writing a lot too, btw. That darned real life and its stealing of fanfic time.

Oh. This is lovely, and painful, and exactly what was in their eyes. Beautiful.

I've always seen her as being like Fate to him, in ways both good and bad.

Thanks so much for commenting!
