Beautiful ♥ #20 especially, made my throat tighten (although I'm still at a loss to comprehend the meaning of "time and tide". I have a feeling that it doesn't mean "don't make a big deal out of it" as subtitles in my language say. I'm almost entirely sure that it's a wrong translation ^^) Can that really be the ending they saw fit for Liz and Will? I'm still in denial. *grumbles*

"My only love" is haunting. "Heir apparent" is bittersweet and the last line sent shivers down my spine. All of them are just wonderful.

Thanks, love!

"Time and tide" is a shortened version of the proverb "time and tide wait for no man." "Don't make a big deal out of it" is more or less what Jack meant in context--the idiom probably doesn't translate well, and he's basically telling Lizzie not to take his lies personally--but the layers of meaning are more complex than that.

Ah, now it makes more sense. Thank you for that link and explanation. You have no idea how many times I looked for it. The meanings of Jack's shortened proverbs are a bit hard to find for me.

Somehow I missed all of these. #24 is spellbinding.

""Was it worth it?" And she doesn't mean just his.

"Tonight, love," drawing her to his side, "I'm inclined to think it was."

That melted my heart.

And #21, oh man, what I wouldn't give to see Lizzie realize what has Jack's compass vexed.

#17 is so sweetly hysterical.

Beautiful work :)

Yeah, I haven't posted all of these on sparrabeth since they're multi-pairing.

Thank you so much! I'd love Lizzie to realize she'd vexed that compass, as well.
