Was happy to see the Chargers and Cards move on. Was hoping the Fish would win, too, but you can't have it all, I suppose.

After leaving the pub last night I pretty quickly heard the fans streaming down Market Street toward City Hall and figured, 'why not?' So I joined them and got as far as Broad and Sansom before the crowd coalesced and no one could get any farther. My pictures of the ballyhoo below.

We could win this thing tomorrow. I almost don't want to think about it, for fear of a jinx. But maybe the new Billy Penn is working after all.

Always good to start a series with a win! I don't like to be too optimistic, but I'm feeling really good about this.

We're going to the championships, baby! First time since I was in elementary school. And hopefully on to the win for the first time since I was born. Let's go Phils!

Good: The Phils won.

Better: Watching the game on a big screen in a packed bar with a bunch of other fans.

(Better than that: If I get to keep doing that through the World Series and on to the win. :D )

The rainout on Friday was disappointing. The make-up game today was great. It was supposed to be a big group from Temple, but I think only about 1/3 of the people who originally signed up were able to make it tonight.
