I don't think I've talked about it in here, but when I go to Morimoto with some college friends of mine, it's always quite a production. This is especially due to two of the gentlemen in our party, who have turned the 'omakase' (Japanese for 'chef's choice', more or less) into a form of culinary adventurism. Well he did get a $246 tip from us. I write people thank you cards when I get that much money too :D

They're probably eagerly awaiting our next reservation there... I wonder if he's called dibs on our table or other servers challenge him to rock-paper-scissors for it!

RPS seems a little mundane. I bet they've got a Japanese-game-show obstacle course back there. Winner gets the crazy omakase table!

i hate you for living close enough to go there for dinner. i can't justify the trek for nothing more than a meal.

I don't know that I could call it just a meal. Also, our merry group had a couple that came all the way from Boston (and drove home that night after) and another couple that builds the trip to Philly into their vacation plans when they fly out from Oregon. It really is that worth it. :)

considering our lack of fuel-efficient vehicles, it's a bit much for a meal - and since i've never been there, it's still "just a meal" to me. ;) maybe in a year or two, when i can get something i wouldn't consider a toy for a daily driver. i love my little blue gokart but it loves gas a little more than i'd like to admit.
