The fingering of a violin is pretty much the same as a mandolin. I don't see what possible use that would be for you, but there you are.

It's a thing I now know? I haven't gone anywhere with it, save reading some reviews on good starter violins. Found a really spiffy PURPLE one.. but it's no longer available, now that I have extra money to spend unwisely.

I'll probably just impulse purchase a gaming headset, instead. /shrug

Indeed! I did download the rule book/getting started, just for giggles. But it's like.. 600 pages?! Okay.. not really.. but still.. it's a lot of reading.
