So, tell me about the book. Is it good? The cover looks interesting...

It's Book 2.

The Looking Glass Wars is Book 1. Mostly, Wonderland is at war and Alyss is sent over to "the other side" in order to save her from her psycho aunt (Redd). Hatter goes with her, but loses her in transit, and it takes him about 10 years to find her, and he manages to bring her back to save Wonderland.

The first book is kinda epic (and hopefully the movie will make some of the action sequences make more sense); the second one is a bit harder to follow... which is why it's taking me so long to read it. :D

the website is chock full-o-stuff. There's a whole set of short stories for the Hatter character; and a card game and ~stuff~ :D

In other news: Sprint wins everything with those damn commercials. Totes McGotes.

TOTES! They are SO adorez. I think my favorite is the one with: "You've become a monster." "You made me this way." *sporfle* But they're ALL brilliant.

I have to say that my favorite is the lost in Sears-ish.

"I'm in the paint."
"No.. that's not you."
"No I'm by the dishes."

Whoever came up with that set and sold JEJ and MM on it.. they deserve a raise.

I adore those Sprint commercials more than I could ever verbally express. They're right up there with that new Publix Christmas commercial, the one with the little girl & her grandpa (IDK if you've seen it yet)

So, I met Frank Beddor at SDCC in 2011. Bought the first book from him, he signed it, and I freakin finished it before we even got on the freakin plane to fly home! I actually checked every bookseller in the SD airport hoping to find books 2 & 3. Got home, inhaled the other books, etc.

NYCC2013, there he is, in a booth. Neophyte standing in front of him goes "So, are they any good?" (srsly? You're going to srsly say that TO THE AUTHOR??). I loudly say "They are wicked awesome, you should read them". Beddor grins at me, and when the morons move on, I tell him about inhaling the series. He kisses my hand and thanks me. THe guy is all kinds of awesome, not just as a writer.

Also FYI: prequels coming: Hatter Madigan's training in the Milinery.
