Writing excitements

Note from my agent on Friday saying the marked up manuscript of Plain Kate is on its way home to me.  She says only a spit polish is required. Oooo!  I hope so!   She also sends an exciting and intimidating list of potential editors.  People like Arthur Levine are on it.   I picture my manuscript darting through traffic by bicycle messenger, on its ( Read more... )

Also, I can totally see Kate as an Arthur A. Levine book. How cool would it be if you got to work with Cheryl Klein? *bounces*

Or maybe Bloomsbury... the possibilities are so exciting!

But, yeah, not only can I see KATE as a Levine book, I can see my beloved SIR GAWAINE as a we-know-it-doesn't-quite-fit-the-genre, -and-you-won't-know-where-to-shelve-it, but-we're-publishing-it-anyway, 'cause-we're-Levine book book. If you see what I mean. Like Pullman's CLOCKWORK.
