Ah, I love a relaxing weekend when I am able to sit around and relax. Yesterday, Andrea and I started watching Friday Night Lights. I never could get into Friday Night Lights, but part of that may be having grown up in Texas with that football culture. The school team that show is based on is the Odessa, TX Permian High Panthers (there is no Dillon, TX), and our school actually played them a couple of times in the state play-offs (and won, ha ha ha). Odessa Permian did have a great team considering the rest of the school was crap. They used to have a terrible playing field. We once had to go there for a game (I was in the band) and that field was impossible to march on. Then again, that was back in 1982, so no doubt they've improved it since then. I really should ask my brother what they think about the show down in Texas.
