A little bit about Sandra and Lara...

A couple of people have commented about Willow's pal Sandra, the brainy technomancer who appears in my stories "Many Happy Returns" and "Down the Well." The inspiration for this character comes from this panel in issue #19 of the Buffy Season 8 comics (Part Four of Time of Your Life):

Shiny! Thanks for the backstory... still loving 'Down the Well,' and I can't believe I never noticed Sandra in the comics.

As for Lara... wow. I know what she looks like on the box the game comes in, but I had no idea video games these days have actual *plot*. Very interesting.

Are there scorpion demons in Tomb Raider, or did you invent them?

Sandra was pretty hard to spot in the comics... and didn't have any lines. I just happened to notice her there.

Yep, Tomb Raider games nowadays have plots almost as sophisticated as movies. And the visuals on this particular installment are pretty amazing.

I just invented the Scorpion Demon thing as an appropriate representation of Natla's current (and no doubt temporary) state. (The game doesn't say anything about it).

Glad you're liking the story. I hope to have the final chapter up by the end of the week, if all goes well.
