So today, as Google kindly reminded me, is Charles Darwin's 200th birthday. Happy Birthday, mate!

On a slightly more personal level, I'm studying for the Sociolinguistics quiz I have tomorrow. At bloody 9. And tonight I'm going out. Clubbing. I've been forced: "No excuses" they told me. So here I am. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll be so shitty and ( Read more... )

Daffodils? It's been snowing here all day. I just had to go and put a bigger jumper on, lol.

LOL! Well, I reckon these daffodils were a kind of freak of nature, since today was the first day without snow in a month... Still buttock-freezing, I'm afraid.

I never longed for spring so much, :)

also discovered that in the Arthurian Literature class there's young Severus Snape. Well, Snape or his twin. He's very quiet, dressed completely in black, he sits in a corner of the room and doesn't speak much, but when he does it's always something clever and interesting. I'm sure he's young Snape in disguise. I have to be careful not to actually call him Severus in class. :D That would be embarassing!

I soooo want to see a pic of him! Does he look like Alan Rickman?

And I rented The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Not nearly as hilarious as the book but not bad at all, especially since it has a depressed robot with Alan Rickman's voice. LMAO! It will always have a special place in my heart!

Love the books, love the movie:D When I read it, I hear Marvin as Snape! LOL.

Yay, spring! I thought maybe we had spring here, too, but it clouded over and looks like rain. :( Our daffodils have yet to bloom, but they're so pretty when they do!

Young Snape does look like a young version of Alan Rickman, though I can't really imagine Alan Rickman being young at all... Wasn't he always like this? XD

I loved reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy! Maybe I should do it again, probably I would imagine Marvin as Snape as well... The voice was just perfect!

Hate deceiving weather... But those brave daffodils were really lovely! Don't know if they'll survive the cold, though...

LOL! MY youngest brother and I have entire conversations just in Hitchhiker's Guide quotes!

So far, we still have no flowers around except for a few buds on the trees! I'm rapidly becoming impatient--it's still brown and wintery here! I hope your flowers survive!
