I just noticed a bunch of people have added me as LJ friends in the who-knows-how-long timeframe. I don't know why LJ doesn't inform me of that event. (Ok, the new "My LJ" page might have some indicator, but I never use it) I don't have time to actively poll my user profile page (or the Edit Friends page). I should write a script to do it nightly

I check in there once in a while to see if there've been any changes, although B has a script running that apparently updates us both daily in those charts.

Veddy intedestink. Unfortunately, it still fails the "I have to actively check it" test. Still, that'd be easier to page scrape than LJ userinfo.

Hrm, except that I already wrote that DH page scraper when Noah was kvetching and I was bored.

Hrm hrm. The URL references sodom. Which is off, and in pieces in my office. Chances are the relevant file has been moved to sarnath, but I'd need to find it.

So back on the procrastination heap this goes.

(in case you hadn't noticed that is a nudge, E. It's not good that we have to wait for bad things, mostly, to hear from you these days. But hey- I'm the queen of minutae. I even post bad photos I take at concerts because I thought they looked cool.)

No, I know. I've withdrawn back into myself again. I still have the "hey, I should write about that." moments, but inertia generally gets the better of me, and when I sit down and want to write (which has been rare lately, though I do have two long entries about half-way done, but I haven't worked on either in over a month) my mind goes completely blank. It's something I've been meaning to work on.
