Wow, Erik looks great! Charles does too, but he seriously needs a haircut. Methinks he may be overcompensating for a threatening bald patch or something of that kind. ;-)

I'm a huge McAvoy fan, so I am terribly biased. *sheepish* You could dress him in a pink frilly tutu and I'd still think he was hot. ;)

I really hope there's lots of Erik/Charles in this movie! *fingers crossed* (Both of the Fassbender/McAvoy variety and of the Sirs variety.) That chemistry was the best part of the X-men movie franchise, IMHO.

The DoFP sets and costumes look nice so far. My only concern is how many characters there are. Sometimes too many characters and side plots turn a movie into a convoluted mess. The complex storyline worked well for the comics, but in a movie, it might be hard to keep the main plot from getting too diluted.

Oh, he is still hot, definitely! And having seen his 70s outfits, I suspect the pink frilly tutu would have been the better choice. ;-)

Hair is just a tricky thing. Witness Michael failing to rock the flowing locks look... though hey, opinions differ. *g*

I agree completely! And it's what made First Class work so well, IMO.

Like you, I also have fears concerning the large number of characters... it's very difficult for a movie to make individual characters and relationships (as well as plots - and this one will definitely be complicated) work if there are too many balls in the air.

LOL! True! Charles' 70s outfits are definitely... distinctly 70s. I don't think more needs to be said of that. ^_~

I love Michael as an actor, but I definitely think the clean-cut look works better for him. Not all guys can rock the 'Mountain Man' or 'Fabio' look.

I actually sort of like medium hair length on James. Then again, I am fully aware of -- and fully embrace -- my obvious bias. ^_~

I really love the DoFP comic book storyline. It's one of my favorites, which makes me even more nervous about the movie adaptation. I am trying to remain cautiously optimistic though. I realize that it's a summer movie, so I realize that there's going to be some level of flash-bang that you always get with a summer movie. However, I am really hoping that Singer can keep the '120-minutes-of-gratuitous-explosions-a-la-Michael-Bay' vibe to a low simmer and focus on the relationships and the main plot (and Sir Patrick, Sir Ian, Fassbender and McAvoy). *fingers crossed*
