Cabela's bison burgers are awesome, even when they've been sitting in a food warmer for however long. Also, it's nice that Cabela's had the tent poles we need, while Gander Mountain told us to get rid of the tent and buy a new one. Over one tent pole? Yeah right.

Got a Swiss Gear tent in the same state - it's a 2 man backpacker that uses an included hiking stick as the only pole. And of course, bought it second-hand and the pole is missing. Ugh.

I was amazed at how good the burger was even after they pulled it out of the buffet style food warmer.

I would hope that the hiking stick is still available. If not, you might have to improvise like we did. :) The Cabela's generic replacement tent poles are the exact same diameter as the poles we currently have, so I bought two of them and cut the cables so I could attach them in a different manner. Works just fine.

Good deal for being able to get the part you needed rather than a new tent... As for the 2 people backpacker using a hiking stick as the pole, I suspect other hiking sticks would serve the same purpose, even as you suggest.

Then for the off-topic part of my comment - not sure if you saw that the wienermobile or at least one of them was in the news...
