I wasn't bored like the last one. I think McCain came across better, yet Obama is continuing to show he cares about the issues the voters care about

I only caught a little bit of it after getting home from work, so my only impression is that they seem to do more picking on each other than actually debating issues. I guess I'll have to read a rundown of it all tomorrow.
And I do believe that he has felt this way the whole time, but I also feel that it is quite possible that he is being handled. That is one of the main differences I see is that Obama is in charge of his campaign, while who knows who is in charge of McCain's.
"...while who knows who is in charge of McCain's. "
Certainly not McCain (which probably explains the choice of Palin for VeeP).
This is a quote from McCain's campaign earlier this summer (July 2008, I believe) regarding something McCain said about taxing Social Security...
"Douglas Holtz-Eakin, McCain's chief economic adviser, says the numbers he provided to the TPC aren't secret--they're the same ones he provides to anyone who asks. He also disputes the way the study takes suggestions McCain has made on the stump out of context. "This is parsing words out of campaign appearances to an unreasonable degree," Holtz-Eakin said. "He has certainly I'm sure said things in town halls" that don't jibe perfectly with his written plan. But that doesn't mean it's official."
Essential Service: YES! But while agree with that, Obama has got to get across how it'll be paid for- McCain ads here are tearing his info apart... BUt on the other hand, the old farmers I've overheard know the country's in trouble and are voting for the young black fella, coz McCain couldn't find his a'' with Palin and the whole Republican party holding a flashlight for him... (They do NOT like either McC or Palin)

I don't agree with you about McCain and the debate. McCain seems to be having a race issue these days. Or has he always been like this?
