I guess he was just too busy crafting his love letter to Cheney to bother watching the news at any point this summer when the US actually cared about what was going on in Iran. :/
I know I'm being whiney about this, but I go to Temple, an intercity philadelphia university, so you don't run into that many conservative teachers. It'd be nice if the ones they hired were able to challenge my views and engage in insightful conversations versus spending half the class laughing about some guys name.

We are kindred spirits in our intellectual quests.

i had one the exact opposite, which, granted, is more towards my liberal views, but omg c'mon, im paying you to teach me, not laugh about what idiotic thing Bush did or said this week. i mean, when you take classtime to hand out scanned articles and have us read them aloud and highlight...... god. im cringing just remembering this shit.

Plus, i had him for 2 of my classes, environmental studies related. So it was like a double dose of awesome every tues and thurs :/

Oh I've had a few of those. I think the more liberal teachers are often worse. They are the ones that try to make as many jokes as possible, like we'll confuse them for Jon Stewart or something. I don't think they realize how unpleasant and corny they sound, plus cable/comedy central is relatively cheap, college not so much.
Being a professor might be the best job ever. You get to prattle on about whatever you want and everyone must listen or else you can fail them.
