I didn't wanna leave them either x.x Of the two relatives who had space for us to evac to, one is allergic to aminnuls (where Dad and I stayed for the first 2 weeks) and the other was just being an asshole about it (where I am now) >_< They didn't seem to wanna come anyway ~ for some reason, cats don't seem to like being cooped up in boxes, cushy pillow or no. We thought, as so many other people did, that we'd only be gone for a day or two. Then the two major bridges crossing Lake Ponchartrain took a header into the briny deep x.x
If they're still around when I go back to check on the house (hopefully today - what used to be an hour's drive will now take more than 4 each way due to the need to go all the way AROUND the lake and then wait in line behind a mile or so of cars, assuming I can get an entry permit into Jefferson Parish), I plan to just grab them anyway and just plop them in the backyard here if I have to. I bought some catnip for them; cats are much easier to manage when they're stoned ~_~
