I seriously think it's amazing that people are able to run more than like, 5 miles. I am proud to have the stamina to run 3 miles, cause I know how hard it is. but 26 miles? I can't even fathom.

and you did it! congrats, it must have felt awesome when you crossed that finish line.

Thanks for the note..and yes, you are right; it felt awesome when I crossed the finish line.

But don't be so hard on yourself. You could do a marathon too, Michele! Just keep on adding the miles (it will take about 6 months or so). It's all a mental game.

dude, so proud of your marathon run! that's an awesome time. really wish i could've run with you. i got into the race three blocks later, but couldn't tell if you were ahead or behind me.

so i got in at a point where the barricade ended and there was just tape. i pushed my way through the crowd and ducked under it. as soon as i popped out, emerging through the crowd on the other side, i stood up to find two cops about 3 inches from my face. so we stared at each other for about a second, silent, taking in what was happening. then one of em said "hey buddy...!" and started reaching for me, so i fucking took off.

anyway, i alternated between sprinting and lagging back for about 2 miles and then sort of gave up the search. wish i could've helped, but i'm really glad i at least got to see you during your triumphant run! destroying the competition like shiva! well done man.

that's hilarious. In that case, you should have just ducked under the barricades the first time! take that cops! I just stayed on the left side of the street, trying to check up on you every once in a while, but I suppose you were behind. ah well. Perhaps the third time will be the charm.
