Teaching in Japan would be pretty gnarly, and you're still young enough to get the working vacation visa.

If you stay in Vancouver, what are your plans (if any)?

Oh oh, and when is your epic birthday party happening? My next 4 weeks are pretty crammed, but if lady luck smiles my direction, I can try to be there! :P

well I teach in japan. I'm not sure how old you are but I am 28 and people much older than myself easily get work visas over here. As long as you have a college degree you can get a job teaching english here. There are a few companies that make it really easy to get over here. And once you are finally here the amount of teaching jobs are ridiculious. There are so many, in fact, that I am sure you will find one to custom suit you. I mean as long as you find you really enjoy teaching the king'd english.

I guess I wrote a pretty long response to that, but if you have more questions about it feel free to ask.
