In yesterday's mail, I received a summons for jury duty. Sweeeeeet. Obviously I got picked by my voter's registration because it came in my maiden name (oh yeah, I keep forgetting to get that changed). Mom says that's not enough to get me out of it though. ;o) Carter might though

You're not exempt from jury duty because you're taking a class?

No, because it's study at home. However, my mom (who is a legal assistant) happened to be talking to somebody at the court and she said that Carter should get me out of it, at least temporarily. She said to write on there that I have a 4-month old baby and they'll probably defer it.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I think I remember seeing something on the forms that if you have a young child at home you can get an exemption.
