Not much celebrating, but I'm hoping that's just a postponement, and that I can go out dancing or something either this week or next. (:

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. I love working with teens, but mainly as a mentor/role-model. While I would certainly love to teach later in life, I am not ready at this point to be in that more authoritarian role with them; I don't want to be that young teacher that gets trod on (as I would, really, if I tried for it now). At this point I'm much better with the looser boundary lines--when I get to be an adult friend, too, which is not so good for teaching.

Which means I guess I'm looking for something else that will let me continue with my volunteering. Working as a cashier at a plant nursery would be wonderful, since I have a background with plants. I do pretty well with customer service, too, though I'd have to brush up on my plant ID. (;

I can understand preferring the mentor role over being a teacher at this point. And not just because large groups of kids scare me ;)

Hey all!! Definitely been a while. January and Febraury are my more crazy than usual months that are finally over so hopefully I can say hi more often.
