[Ficlet: The Long Road Home]

Hey all, long time fan of the Eric'n'Sooks, and have been lurking in this comm for awhile, but this is my first post. *waves* hello!

Normally, I post my fic on ffnet, with the exception of a few West Wing fics that haven't made it over there yet, but this one I just felt was too short for FF, but still something I'd like to share

muchas gracias! that sort of style always seems to accompany a sort of narration in my head - over top of the actual events, taking place quickly like flashes. i swear sometimes i don't know where my brain goes when i'm not paying attention, haha.

oh pish, no worries. i am often a bad reviewer myself, as i read fic on my blackberry quite commonly, and can't do a review since the site updated away from "review" being in the drop-down menu.

sorry. messed about with the tags a bit. it's meant to be an SVM fic, not a true blood fic, and i didn't see the tv discussion tag. my bad! and such bad manners for my first post too! i'm appropriately ashamed, believe me.

It’s no problem. And it was my bad for telling you to put the wrong tag, lol. There’s no reason to be ashamed. Everyone messes up the tags sometimes, including me. xD

I not only really enjoyed your ficlet, but I'm also VERY, VERY HAPPY about this: Though I will point out, if you watch the vids from Comic-Con this year, and I was VERY CAREFULLY paying attention, as it was one of the only questions that didn't make me want to find something in my freebie bag to throw at the questioners, AB was asked if the Bill/Sookie/Eric triangle will "play out" the same way it does in the books - to which Alan answered simply, without elaboration, "yes".

As for the ficlet, I think the progression from Eric assuming and demanding to asking nicely is just perfect. And now I need to go bookmark your other E/S fics so that I can enjoy them, too. :D

i KNOW i was THRILLED. i'm like "Alan, you say your a fan of Charlaine's books all the time, but I'M NOT SEEING IT HERE, MMKAY?!"

that was probably my favorite panel (competing with Doctor Who, as David Tennant is just a DELIGHT), and they gave the best swag. there was an overwhelming percentage of Eric fans in the audience, and they brought up lots of book bits, so i'm hoping it was just one more moment to point out to Alan that bookfans are the reason the show does so well ("i read the books, YOU need to watch the show!" etc) and that, by and large, we are Eric fans. not to make a generalization of the fandom, but, well, it feels rather true. i don't see a lot of Sookie/Sam or Sookie/Bill fans in the book fandom...heck, even some of them don't like Sookie!

i haven't really delved into the SVM fic-fandom like i have with West Wing, or like i used to with Angel or HP, so i'm still building my CV, but hopefully you'll find something you like :o) thanks for reading!
