Final Story on my Sister thus far

...She kept her job. I am very grateful to be reporting that. But now she's annoyed that she will probably have to work Thanksgiving (she usually doesn't).

Stores are open for Thanksgiving? They close up here when we have ours.

All of them?

Even middle-of-nowhere grocery stores like the one where I grew up were open Thanksgiving morning-- makes the yearly angst that some stores are opening Thanksgiving night seem silly to me, but the idea of getting a day totally off of work is odd to me! (ranch kid; cows eat on Christmas, too)

And that ignores stuff like gas stations, medical jobs, security, tech support for Amazon....
