Oh yes, because Disney completely ruined Marvel when they bought it. >.>
Personally at this point I'm just glad to see Star Wars out of Lucas's hands. Maybe people who understand both storytelling and marketing (instead of just marketing) can have their shot at it and undo some of the damage he did.
Marvel did a better job of ruining itself than anyone else could have.
And I do hope that Disney can do something good with SW. I think that just making sure Lucas has someone around willing to tell him, "This is a bad idea" might work wonders.
Oh, it's even better than that, in its way. "Creative consultant" is one of those honorary titles in show biz. They can take his advice or leave it as they see fit. He no longer has any genuine control anymore. Which, again, I think will be to the best.
We'll see, though I doubt that anything could satisfy the "real" SW fans -- "Real SW fans" defined as "We hate it more than anyone else". No, (semi)seriously, I've seen that definition be used.
And not only that, but Lucas has stated he plans to devote the majority of his newly-bigger-fortune to philanthropy, so the money will be going to things like education. This is basically a win-win for everyone.
