Say, did any of you ever even hear of this show before? The Adventures of Superpup was supposedly an attempt to do 'something' with the sets for the George Reeves Superman show after he killed himself. It's made worse by the fact that they did this immediately after Reeves killed himself in the hopes that fans of the Adventures of Superman would watch this to 'ease their pain' and to show 'respect' for Mister Reeves.. If true then it deserves some kind of award for 'most disrespectful homage to an actor ever'.

Hm, Mike Curtis mentioned this to me once.
He's literally the number two Superman collector in the country,(Only reason he isn't number one is that the guy who is number one has more money to spend, so his collection is a bit larger, with a few rarer items.)

So Mike knows some of the weirdest, most obscure trivia about Superman based TV and movies.

What can I say...
In that era, they'd experiment with damn near anything on TV to see if it would work and make money.

Wilder or dumber than today.

From what I have read and been old by people who have worked in TV, getting approval for experimental shows nowadays is actually incredibly hard to do.

Its all broken into established genres, and to even get a pitch heard, its got to fit into one of those, somehow.

Even "reality shows" only got approved to try in the first place by pitching them as game shows.
