Well, I promised this last week, and here it is. Sorry about the wait, but had to deal with both bad weather and the con crud first.

Sounds like a fun time! ^_^ I only did a quick pass-through on Saturday, standard dealer's room and art show tour.

Really? I wish I'd seen you even if just to say hello. And yes, it was a very fun time.

Next time we'll remember to have you mail your luggage ahead of time to avoid the flying highway robbery....
Many furries are doing this now to avoid the ruinous fees airlines keep inventing to boost profits.

Or we simply fly Southwest which allows two checked bags and one carry-on and one personal item for FREE.

I may try this; they can't be any worse than United!

BTW, Brenda, I sent you a scan of the con art you did for me. I'm sorry to say that the scan doesn't look very good (I had it done at FedEx, and there's a big fold in the middle), and for some bizarre reason it's included in a PDF with two fursuit photos I took from the con that I had scanned. Man but I wish I knew how to separate them!

But still, I hope you like the scan and can maybe pretty it up some. Hopefully future scans as done by me at FedEx will look rather better.

You should fly Southwest. They're amazing, and worlds better than United. Plus, if you get the Early Bird Check-in with Southwest ($10 extra each way), they check you in Automatically the night before, so all you do is print your boarding pass or have the baggage check print you a boarding pass (and you're already checked in).
This also puts you in the "A" group, so you board first, and get to pick any seat you want when you get on the plane. It's totally nice.

And thanks! I'll look at that scan now.

Glad you were able to make it to the con and have a good time!

I would have gone just for the weather!

and then lunch/supper at a Texas barbeque place near Gilroy AKA Garlic Capital of the World. anonymous January 28 2011, 17:47:54 UTC
Actually, the place is on the main drag of Castroville, between Salinas and Monterey. At the north end of town, not far from where the main drag junctions with Route 1/Coast Highway.

Central Texan BBQ, Castroville, CA, best Texas-style BBQ on the Central California Coast.

The Danish Pancake place in Buellton also shows up on the same site, on Old 101 just across the crossstreet from Buellton landmark Andersen's Split Pea:
