And now, something from TV that isn't so funny: the Hitler sitcom

Not a joke, but for real: someone made a sitcom about Hitler and Eva Braun. They lived next to a Jewish family (and were hiding in America after WW2) and were constantly trying to kill them, at which point hilarity ensued. Six episodes were shot but only one was ever shown.

I think this was made in England, actually. But it proved too trashy for even the BBC!

Stuff like this makes Benny Hill look like Shakespeare in comparison.

Remember those Hollywood Pitch Sessions from South Park?
Let's just say they were a documentary.

I've read some REAL Hollywood pitch sheets.
This would fit right in.

"A brilliant parody of 50's American sitcoms DUR HUR HUR."
That sounds more like how you'd pitch it to the Intellectuals (TM) and Beautiful People (TM) who are still mad (after 50 years) at Mommy and Daddy and Their Nifty Fifties. I suspect the actual pitch that got HHIH greenlighted used the word "Edgy" several times.
