Summary:
Eric hadn’t seen the point at first, in getting up before sunrise on vacation only to go up to the deck of the cruise ship to watch the sun rise, especially on their last day, when they’d already be counting on going nonstop. However, Arica had wanted to do it and she’d set their wake up call for five in the morning. And when the time came he forced himself to pull on clothes and drag himself up to the deck, following her to the front of the boat.
“Don’t expect me to get up on the railing and shout, ‘I’m the king of the world,’.”
“Expect that if you do, you’re a dead man,” she replied, smirking at him. He was so cute when he was half asleep. Sometimes he could behave like a complete jerk as well, and not remember any of it, but the half asleep look did suit her teddy bear. “I’ve always wanted to get up and watch the sunrise one day when I wasn’t sick or hurt or up for some other reason. You know? I always thought it’d be terribly romantic.”
And even though he thought it was just going to make for a tiring day, he let himself relax and let her have the romantic morning. He could crash at home tomorrow anyway.
