They’d known each other a few days, a week at most, the first time it happened. In that short amount of time, they’d become friends. Their friendship came pretty naturally, to be honest. How could it not? What with both of their families having such deep roots within the wrestling business and all.

But, there were just some things that new friends shouldn’t see one another doing.

They’d seen one another fully clothed. That was, of course, not a problem. They’d seen one another in their wrestling gear. Yet again, not a problem at all. They’d even seen one another in the shower without issue.

However, Ted was rather unnerved when he walked into the locker room to go and talk himself once more through his upcoming promo and found his new friend naked except for a towel around his waist, with his leg, covered in shaving cream, lifted up on a bench. “Cody?” he asked, staring, stunned at the sight before him.

“Oh… Ted… I wasn’t expecting you back for a while,” Cody said, trying to subtly move his leg to make sure everything was still covered.

“What… are you doing?”

“What does it look like I’m doing?” he asked, the razor just hovering over his ankle, having only just touched the skin when Ted walked into the room.

“You… you know you’re in a public locker room, right?”

“Yes. I am quite aware of that.”

“You’re shaving your legs, though.”

“Yeah. I thought they were ok, but I was getting changed and… they were not ok,” Cody told him.

“Why are you even bothering to shave in the first place?”

Cody raised a brow at Ted. “First off, do you see how dark this is?” he asked, pointing to his head. “That on my legs? No. Second, I just like the way it feels.”

“You like the way it feels?” Ted repeated.

“If you were with your girlfriend and you were touching her legs and they were as hairy as yours, would you like that way that feels? Or would you like it when she shaves and her legs are nice and smooth?”

“Are you likening yourself to a woman?”

“Just answer the damn question,” Cody said, hoping he wasn’t blushing or doing anything else to give himself away.

“When she shaves, I guess,” Ted told him.

“Why don’t you go up to Cena and ask him why he likes to shave his legs?” Cody asked, sounding a bit snippy at this point. “Now, if you’ll excuse me…” he trailed off, going back to what he had been attempting to do before Ted walked in and started playing twenty questions.

The second time it happened it was just about one month into their friendship. The night of their first ever title win to be exact. Only this time, it didn’t happen in a locker room. It happened in Cody’s hotel room.

Ted was in the room so they could run over everything that was going to happen that night when Ted told Cody he was going to head to the lobby to grab a cup of coffee before they had to start getting their things together to go to the arena. He said he’d be right back so they could discuss it yet again. It was Ted’s in-ring debut, after all, and he wanted everything to flow seamlessly.

Cody gave him the key so that he could get back into the room easily whenever he got back.

The sight that greeted Ted when he did get back to the room was one that took him by shock. “Don’t you ever do that in the shower?” he asked when he saw the bathroom door wide open, Cody’s foot up on the closed toilet lid having already slathered shaving cream on his leg.

Cody had his shorts hiked up as far as they could go and looked out to the main room. “Oh… I was thinking you’d be longer.”

“I was just going to get a cup of coffee downstairs. I wasn’t going to Starbucks across town,” he said. “Seriously, though… why?”

“Haven’t we been over this before? We’ve got a big match coming up tonight and I’m not going out there with nasty, stubbly legs!”

“You could have at least shut the door, or something.”

Cody rolled his eyes. “We can keep talking if it’s open.”

“We could talk if the door was closed, too,” Ted said.

“What? Does my leg shaving offend you?” Cody asked, drawing the razor up his leg, wiping the excess foam off the razor onto a towel.

“No. It’s kinda weird, though.”

“Loads of guys shave places other than their face, Ted,” Cody told him.

“No, I mean… it’s kinda weird watching you do it,” he clarified.

Cody blinked a couple times as he stared out through the door frame to Ted. He then removed his foot from the toilet seat, walked over to the door and shut it.

The third time it happened was the week after they lost their titles and would have their rematch to regain said titles. This time, though, it was in their shared hotel room. And this time, Ted didn’t even think twice about it. He went into the bathroom to brush his teeth, only to find that Cody was yet again occupying the toilet, foot up on the lid, leg covered in shaving cream. He did ask, “Really, don’t you ever do that in the shower?”

“The lighting’s better out here,” he replied.

“Getting ready for our big match?”

“Yup.”

“Mind if I ask you something else?”

“I guess… go ahead.”

“Why do you shave your legs, but not your chest? It’s like some weird… Teen Wolf Patch,” Ted told him.

“It’s manly.”

Ted nearly snorted toothpaste out his nose. “Really, Cody? You say you shave your legs so that they’ll be smooth… like a woman’s… but you keep your chest hairy because it’s manly?”

“Yes.”

“So it’s ok for all of that,” he said, pointing to Cody’s head to indicate the dark hair color, “to be there,” he went on, this time pointing to Cody’s chest, actually poking him, “but not there?” he concluded, gesturing to Cody’s legs.

“Yes,” he answered with a nod.

“You’ve got a really weird thought process.”

Cody just went back to his shaving.

That night, after winning the titles back from Cena and Batista, they managed to find their excitement from the win carry over into the back… where Cody kissed Ted on the cheek after a locker room embrace.

The kiss on the cheek took Ted by surprise, and when he looked into Cody’s face, both of them still locked up in the embrace, he found himself leaning in to meet Cody’s lips in a proper kiss.

Their excitement from that unexpected kiss in the locker room carried over into their hotel room. They had hardly shut the door and thrown their bags down before their lips were meeting again and clothes were removed on the way to the bed.

When Ted had Cody’s legs thrown over his shoulders as he pushed his cock inside him, not only did he notice how fucking tight Cody was, but how smooth his legs were as they slid across his skin with every thrust into him.

Ted never questioned Cody’s shaving habits after that.
