Thank you! I only just recently purchased a Kindle and this story sounds very interesting. I have a little extra time on my hands lately and will definitely give this a read.

Also, I am dumbfounded that I didn't know Amazon offered free e-books... I'm so behind the times! I've already downloaded 5 free books in the last 20 minutes. ;)

Thank you, hope you enjoy it :)

Amazon allows authors to set their book free for a couple of days per 3 month cycle if it's exclusive to amazon. They're not always free, but some seem to be free all the time. I'm not sure how that one works however :)

But there seem to be plenty of free books each day.

Oh, I forgot to say, if you want plenty of free reads for Kindle, A03 has lots of fanfic you can download for your Kindle. Just download the mobi copy and transfer it to your Kindle using a USB lead.

Here's my page for starters :)

That's very generous of you - thanks for explaining this to me!

I also did know about being able to download from AO3. I've been reading a TON of fanfic in my newest fandom (The Blacklist, Liz/Red) and downloaded several fanfics to read over my Christmas break - it was fantastic! I only wish you could do the same for fanfiction.net - there are a lot of good authors over there, but with the site settings there is no downloading or copy/pasting available.

Also, though I'm not currently writing any stories, I finally signed up for an AO3 account and uploaded all my fanfics so others can enjoy them. If you're interested you can check them out here: http://archiveofourown.org/users/Beathen
