Cahty said our new cell phones came in the mail today. Wewt. I wonder how difficult it will be to get them working and activated, and how much we're going to have to pay now for text messaging. *sigh*. I am a slave to Sprint's cancellation fees. ::|

i hate cancellation fees. when i quit sprint i did it on a whim one day, and signed up with at&t. got a new phone, was mildly excited. then i discovered that i'd still been under contract, when i got the bill in the mail for my last half-month's service plus 150 freakin dollars. i was seriously annoyed with myself.

If you've signed a 1 or 2 year contract, cancelling before the contract is up will cost you $150. I believe Verizon was the same way when I was with them... But i'm pretty sure that if you're out of contract you can cancel any time.

Yeah me too, except on T-mobile. I've been with them since 1998!

Funny, I justified my cel phone purchase back then because I was going to so many raves and needed to have a way to call someone in an emergency and also info lines while on the road... I was living in Everett at the time but I wanted to be able to call people in seattle as a local number for random get-togethers ect so I opted for the "halls lake" exchange which is local to both Seattle and Everett.. This is why I have a 425 number but live in Seattle.

And thats veo's little cel phone story.
