Hm...where has Lindir gone. Has the dubious horse trader got him or has his brother dragged him off? Or, will they find him about to jump from the tallest tree?
Yes, where has Lindir gone? There's even a smidgin of moving the plot along about that coming up! I like the dubious horse-trader suspicion; not so sure about the tallest tree:|
This chapter had me smile throughout :) I found Venestir's sleepy fondness of Erestor (and his clothes) endearing and funny, and the entire summoning of Erestor was lots of fun to read, a warm, rather quiet form of humour that I enjoyed very much. The combination of the three 'groups' of people worked very well; what they were trying to say came out in an entangled and complicated and interrupted way that fit excellently for the situation. Erestor was perfect, of course, and I loved the dignified behaviour of (almost) everyone at the sight of an elf with no clothes on.
It's lovely to hear these details of how it struck you. Is it wrong to admit I enjoyed it myself? It felt fun *g*
(It makes me wonder how anyone successfully smooths the telling of a story between the bits that flow when you write, and the bits that need putting in deliberately to tell the reader what is happening.)
