I thought I was the only only who has to tie my hands behind my back and muzzle myself to write short stories (I just tend toward long--I'm wondering now if there is an upper word-count cut-off for Yuletide?).

No, not saying which... my secret vice.
My daughter and I share those--both books and films. (They are not even so bad they are good. Just ordinary bad.)

Garlic, red onion, chili--yum!

I had to ditch the whole main plot and still was 1000 over lol. I wanted to learn to plot this year, but clearly have a way to go! If Yuletide is Slashy Santa, there was no upper word count last year.

Next film all lined up *g* I could confess to this one though!

Plus which, I had some kind comments, which is a lovely christening for the little story. I've so loved people's short stories and now I've got one, too *Snoopy dance*

It sounds wonderful.

beautiful writing about Venus rising. :)

Watching a baa-a-aad film - love 'em! No, not saying which.

Now I'm thinking anything from XXXXX porn to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang XD

Thanks :)

We talked about the lj layout: there are comments saying how in the entry [lj paid accounts query] and I will let you know when I have tried it...

I'm pretty varied in film viewing, and would admit to many [The pursuit of happiness, La Vie en Rose in my near future] but not the other one lol

I like those black and white films which had mad scientists in them or women being turned mad by evil husbands or the 1950-60's quatermass ones. I love silent movies as well.

You deserved every good comment!

You know, in my top five criteria for my next partner is a willingness to sit through 'The creature from the black lagoon', and yes, Quatermass. Not so much the evil husbands, unless he is James Mason, whose voice I listen to with fascinated pleasure.

Silent movies - yes, they suit you. I can't remember the name of a film that used silent movies for its theme but it was good. Quirky. Involved a character coming through the screen itself. I think.

But if I was rich, I would buy all Jimmy Stewart's flims :D

Thanks!

I am pretty sure it took longer than my longer efforts, if that helps keep the knives pom-poms at bay *g*

I got them in the end, and thought of you - and your walk :)
