It's interesting how the deification of Jesus completely changes what he was about as a mortal. Suddenly, instead of being a pacifist, he was simply biding his time. He had an ace up his sleeve!

Though I guess as a mortal it's plausible he didn't know he'd get his revenge, in which case it's neither pacifism nor an ace up the sleeve, just obedience to God. Still though, a change.
