picspammy's challenge 26: scenery and production design.

My immediate thought for this challenge was Pride & Prejudice and how absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous this entire film was. I absolutely had to do this film for this challenge. I hope you enjoy!

I LOVE THIS POST AND NOW I ALSO FEEL KINDA BAD FOR TROLLING YOU ALL EVENING?

It's so funny you should make a post about this when I'm currently writing a paragraph about the scenery in this movie. The locations are far, far more Romantic than other P&P adaptations, even other Austen adaptations. My teacher said she felt they "strayed into Bronte land" at points, which made me laugh and I can't help but totally agree. I STILL LOVE IT THOUGH.

YOU SHOULD FEEL HORRIBLE FOR TROLLING ME ALL EVENING. THIS IS WHY I ABHOR YOU. ♥

Hee. I can see some of Bronte in this but it's also, I think, less that and more that this is just Joe Wright's directing style (you see it a lot in Atonement too) and I'm okay with the romance aspect because it's gorgeous. There are some really stunning shots in the S&S '08 too.
