Secondly, does anyone have anywhere to reccomend for buying wraeththu books and picture books?( i live in the uk)

At the risk of turning this into a pimp-post... Storm has the picture books in the UK, http://www.immanion-press.com/ She is probably your best source for buying the novels as well.
Some samples of the picture book can be seen here http://www.foreverimmanion.com/picbook.html and I will say that I am biased... the book is beautiful.
I've only read the first 3 books of the wraeththu series, reading the 4th now. All are wonderful. I'd say start with them and read them in chronological order.
