Congrats on the return of the thyroid - that's got to be a bit scary to be gaining weight for weird, biochemical reasons. Here's hoping it keeps working!
Scary, yes, but most of all frustrating. I didn't eat more, I actually ate LESS, but still I gained pound after pound. They told me it was due to the meds - water retention - but in fact it was the thyroid gland going into lunatic modus as a side effect, and it took them five years to notice. Or rather, NOT to notice. Took the hospital only a couple of days. :( While I'm really happy that my body seems to be back in normal order again, I am a bit bitter that I've had to put up with this for years, if a simple blood test could have solved the problem. But that's over now, size 14, here I come! :-D

No, not trust inspiring for them to - Ooops! - not get it right for 5 years. We had something similar happen to hubby, 'cept he could have died in the 5 weeks they missed the real problem. And yes, a bit bitter seems reasonable to me. Alas, not productive, but reasonable. Good luck.
Woohoo! And thank you! Yes, stick with it if it is what you want. It's really a cheer-up for me to fit in my old clothes again. I'm working my way down my wardrobe. ;)
Congrats on your weight loss. I know what you mean about boobies on legs - my upper half is size 16 UK and my lower half is size 12 UK. Can't get a dress or coat to fit!
Thank you! And yes, buying coats or dresses really is a pita. Or swimsuits! I've given up on the coat-thing a while ago; getting them changed to suit me would cost more than the suit, and jackets suit me better, anyway. There is "big size" and "petite", why can't there be a "nice boobies" line as well? Amazing, really, considering how much money women spend on boob jobs to increase their size...
