... not really. But if you should ever make a pit stop in Zurich, don't miss the zoo's "Masoala"-project. They've reconstructed a piece of rainforest in a giant hall - plants, animals (from fish to tortoises to alligators), and if you don't mind the heat and humidity, I can promise you a wonderful experience. I guess this is the closest most of us

Your pictures are terrific, and it looks like a wonderful place! We have a zoo in Washington and an aquarium in Baltimore that both have these indoor rain forests, two Amazonian and one Australian. It's wonderful to be able to show the kids all those fascinating critters living together dependent on the trees. :-)

Oh how utterly wonderful and fantastic! As for the rodent - yes that's Uncle Phil, we donated him to the zoo personally because we simply could not have him at family gatherings any more.
