PS: Over at joyful_molly people are asking where the name "Sparky" comes from. As you've dragged that cat in... what's the answer? :D I always thought it was about the uniform, but maybe there's some nefarious background story I'd love to hear...?

LOL. Hm, well. According to wikipedia, "Sparky" refers to a "particularly clever person, a sparkling personality" and I guess that's what my friend and I had in mind when we saw him on screen. This, and the fact that he seemed so proud in his shiny uniform, like Sparky the Fire Dog made us lovingly call him "Sparky" ever since.

Awww... now does he not look as if he's waiting for a pat on the head and a cookie? Yes, Sparky, you have been veeery good, chasing bad, bad pirates... *pets*
