Die haben mich glatt dazu gebracht anzurufen, obwohl ich schon seit Jahren bei solchen Shows nicht mehr anrufe. Aber In Extremo auf Pro7 - das muss man unterstützen. ;)

Vielleicht besteht ja noch Hoffnung für die Jugend... dafür ertrag ich sogar die Metzgerei Raab. ;-)

Short summary: you might have heard of The Horror That Is The European Song Festival. A well-known German comedian and music producer started an alternative song contest last year. Each German federal state has one band/singer join the competition. It's great fun, because nobody takes it really serious, and Germany has extremely talented bands, who don't sing English just to make a big career.

German hip-hop is very strong and there are tons of top-quality bands out there. And that's coming from me who loathes hip-hop. So yesterday this contest was held and shown live on telly. One of the bands, starting for Thuringia, were "In Extremo", a long-time favourite of mine. They play ... hmmmm... metalmedievalgothsomething... indescribable.
