Ack. *hugs* Good luck with that. Bad directors need to die. Or just learn how to be good directors, for the less bloodthirsty among us.
(And speaking of bloodthirsty, the Dracula recording on that site is not the one with James Barbour, but rather an earlier, supposedly unreleased, demo. It features Douglas Sills with a silly accent. *g*)
It just fascinates me, because she has a degree in theatre, but I've known student directors who are more professional. And have better control of their rehearsals.
(*snerk* I shall have to at least listen through it, if not attempt to yoink the whole thing. If my computer will stop being a pill. *kicks* And I'll hopefully have Chess uploaded soon, but again, computer=pill.)
Just more proof that schooling doesn't always equal common sense. :P
(Also on this recording are Alice Ripley, Christiane Noll, Rob Evan, and Chuck Wagner (who sings a song that sounds remarkably like "His Work and Nothing More"). I've never read Dracula, so I don't really have any idea what's going on in these songs. So, of course, the mental image I get is vampire!Sir Percy. *g* And if you can't get that site to work, I can eventually upload stuff for ya. *shakes fist at pillish computer!*)
(The same Chuck Wagner from the Pimpernel concept album? That amuses me for some reason. Read it, 'tis good. I'll let you know if the need arises, and then I'll make you icons or graphics or upload you other stuff in return so that I'm not such a horrid freeloader. XD)
Due to my genius director's lack of planning ahead (among a few other things), we won't be making it to Scotland this summer. She'd like to tour in around California, and maybe to Nevada and Wyoming (as she's got contacts wth venues there), and I think she wants to keep the cast in touch to try and take it overseas some other time. I think if she really wants to travel with it, she needs to have open auditions and cast people who actually want to do it, because half the cast is only in it because it's required. (This is through my old highschool.)
But that's be rambling, and I love The Cradle Will Rock! Break legs! Are you going as cast, crew, what?
