Congradulations, you did a great job. Reminded me of my trial-size fights back in the day. As for suggestions, how about Bloodlapper or whotever the gnat NM in Meriphataud (S) is? Either way, gl on your next solo. I look forward to reading about it.

Well... there is *one* more avatar open to you now that you've done all that... According to the ffxiwiki its soloable by a "skilled" Rdm/Nin, Thf/Nin, or Nin/Thf - Why not Dnc/Nin? Suicidal enough for ya? :P

Shh! I've been preparing in secret for an attempt on that. It'll take a while though, as I'm going to want to add a few more merits to my character before giving that a legitimate try.

I love the information and the style of your blog...I just thought I would point out that neither players nor npcs can be paralyzed out of a weaponskill. (To test this, go somewhere, get 100+tp, use a paralysis potion which is 100% paralyze, and you will be unable to attack, use abilities or spells, but you will still be able to WS)

So your last dancing edge was really quite a wise move and not risky at all! (unless it hadn't been enough to kill him lol)

Anyway good job, and congrats! I hope to read more soon^^

Yeah, I wasn't sure if it would kill him. Dumping all your TP into a weaponskill on dancer is always a ballsy move but I didn't have too many options left.

I beat divine might a long time ago and don't have access to the ark angel solo battles anymore. Trying to find someone that does to let me in would be a huge pain in the butt.

230 - 350, give or take. Nothing amazing, but when you're hitting for 20-30 damage, that's a decent damage boost.

I have a question, and it shows off my pathetic 141 dagger skill....why use Dancing Edge over Evisceration? Does it do a lot better damage? (My main is BRD, I don't pay attention to people's damage ^_^)

Evisceration and Dancing Edge seem to do roughly the same damage, with Evisceration being more based on critical hits so it varies up and down randomly. I switch between the two every now and then and just find that Dancing Edge consistantly more reliable so I use it whenever the situation is actually sort of important.
