I've decided that, if I'm going to laud campaign so loudly, I might as well take over running the thing. However, those jerks at the Fourth Division desk refused to give me any sort of promotion to commander or prefaectus or whatever the crap Bastok's military titles are. So I've resorted to simply running around gathering freelances.

good job with the free lancers, i'm not high enough lvl to do campaign just yet but i did sign up finally. i'm curious to know how long it has taken you to lvl your dnc from 1 to whatever it is now? And how exactly have you been doing it, like what subs? Just curious.

I started leveling dancer the day the expansion came out (well, okay, like a couple days after due to the long freaking patch update) but progress was sketchy. I stopped for a few weeks once because I was hoping to salvage my DNCx2 static with Cibele, and another couple weeks to level SCH, and an entire month because I didn't log on much. I tended to level in spurts - grinding huge amounts of exp before burning out and doing other stuff. I got results though - 75 DNC in a few months. I only know a handful of others on Sylph and we discuss various nerdy parts of the job. It's pretty cool being part of such a small group.

I did DNC/MNK to 20, then DNC/NIN from 20 to 75 and never looked back. I might level SAM to 37 as a subjob for events where DNC can't easily get TP, but really in those sorts of situations I'd probably be better just coming WHM or BRD anyway. DNC/NIN is an easy, fun, effective path.

Ahhh i see, it seems like from what i've read and as you suggest /nin is the way to go for where i'm at. I just don't think i can afford it at the moment, also i don't have nin lvl'd up yet. I will do all that eventually though.

Congrats though on getting dnc to 75 and everything else you've accomplished in game from what i've been reading in the blog.
