Okay, now I need help choosing new frames. After holding steady for five years, my distance scrip has changed a bit. I want something funky. I have two pairs of Lulu Guiness reading glasses, and I could use one of them, (burgundy), but that would leave me without a backup for my readers, even though the second scrip is out of date. It'd be better ( Read more... )

Yeah, I really like those too.

Check out these! I think I'm just going to buy these, since they don't take my insurance and they're co inexpensive. It would end up being cheaper than the others with my copays anyway.

I really love the second two pairs of Lulu Guinness, the ones with the flowers and the ones with the sort of starburst polka dots. In fact, I sort of want that pair in wine, meself.

These aqua/copper ones are great, too, and would look fab on you, and these stained-glass ones are just fun!

I wish I could justify the price of either the Lulu Guinness or the aqua/copper ones myself. They're GORGEOUS!

I can only justify it because I have vision insurance and I'm eligible for new frames this year. But now I've found some online companies that have some really amazing prices. I'm seriously considering ordering these. I wish they came in brown or copper, but I think the green would be fine too. And they're SO CUTE! I'll probably just get them anyway, to have a backup with my current scrip and then I can donate my old ones.

You may want to check out this site. They have a bunch of cute frames for under $20 including single vision lenses. Even progressives are cheaper than they are most places. There's also Zenni Optical, which has a bunch of $8 frames and I almost ordered some last night, until I saw the green ones.

Zenni is where I'm shopping, and where the glasses in my post all came from. ;-)

I really like those green ones!

I only get a $50 glasses allowance, and only once every few years, when I need glasses basically every year. Sooooo...yeah. I'm having a hard enough time talking myself into getting Transitions lenses.
