Icons: The Secret Garden

Nov 27, 2006 10:14

I haven't made icons in a couple of weeks because, honestly, I was tired of making them. I think I'm finally getting my second wind, so I thought I'd start out with a few icons from one of my favorite childhood films, "The Secret Garden." There's 15 in all. Credit, comment, and have a fantastic day!

HEAR HEAR!

p.s. I love these icons, snagging about a billion - will credit. I love this movie. I think I appreciate the book more now that I'm an adult than when I was little.... I'm also weird.

Thank you so much!
You're not weird. You appreciate more of the subtle things when you're older, and I think this book is filled with subtleties and deep emotions.
Your icon is hilarious, by the way. :D

I love your icons from A Night With the King. Is that what it's called? I haven't seen it. Is it any good?

You're very welcome!

I like these icons too. Yes, that is the name. I waited a year and a half to see it. I enjoyed the movie very much. It is based on the book Hadassah which in turn is based on the story of Queen Esther.

Everyone was well cast. The costumes were amazing, as well as the sets. And the score was beautiful. It was a good mix of romance, drama, and intrigue. There is not that much violence, and no sexual content except for some kisses and sensuality and thematic elements that are sensitively handled.

Being Hollywood and all, there were things that were not in the Bible, some I minded more than others; the biggest change was Haman's knowledge throughout the film and characterization at the end. I dare not say any more lest you see the movie and I spoil it for you. But I do recommend it.

It sounds really great. I saw the trailer for it when I went to see Love's Abiding Joy. I figured they would take certain liberties to make it more cinematic, but I honestly think the story of Esther is cinematic on its own. I'm so glad the score is good. I loooove film score and collect soundtracks. I'll probably see it when it comes out on DVD, whenever that is. :D
