It's a blustery day

I feel like California is saying goodbye to me. First we got those weeks of persistent rain and thunderstorms, then few good days of blazing sun, then a bit of fall bite, and now - the crazy Santa Ana winds are creating baby dust devils on the freeways. I read somewhere that the filmmakers wanted to go more 'spooky' and kick up the haunted house stuff of the story.

I just watched Alice on Netflix the other night and thought it was okay (nothing spectacular despite the visuals and Johnny Depp). I think Mia did a good job acting in the movie. I would have stayed in that wonderland cause, well, you know. Ahem. But, I agree. She looks like an acceptable Jane. I think her performance should be fine. I'm undecided on Fassbender. He looks good though, for a Rochester.

Yeah, there's some good stuff about Burton's Alice but I don't think it all came together the way it needed to. It was my first introduction to Mia, though, and I've been a casual fan of hers since. :]

I know - Fassbender's Rochester is perhaps the most perplexing part about the trailer for me. I don't know what to make of him; it's hard for me to picture him spitting out some of R's crazier lines! But we'll just have to wait and see. I do really love the cinematography, and I'm so glad they're emphasizing the spook-factor; that's an integral part of the awesome, dude.
