MAY.

Without fail, every time May arrives my morale improves +100. Though it might be only +75 this time around because of the extra-ridiculous allergy season that is assaulting my senses, but whatever. I saw Iron Man 2 last night and LOVED IT. Proof, once again, that big-budget crowd-pleasers don't have to make their audiences feel dumber when they ( Read more... )

Awesome! I've been worried that I might not like Iron 2 as much as the last one and this entry served as quite the comforter. Much relief is felt. Anyway, I want to watch that Inception trailer, but I'm going to wait until tomorrow evening when I intend to see Iron Man 2 and hopefully will see the trailer then. So, what else has Nolan done with Warner Bros. to get him this clout? I'm not familiar. And great cast -- I've always loved Michael Caine. :)

Nolan is the director of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, most notably, though he also did Memento, Insomnia, and The Prestige. One of my favorite guys working in Hollywood right now. I love that he always collaborates with his brother and wife to write/produce his films.

Haha, I think Michael Caine is technically supposed to be retired - so when he comes out and does another movie you know it's for a good reason. ;] He loves Nolan, from everything I've read, and says he'll never pass up an opportunity to work with him.

Iron Man 2 is a total blast... in fact, I'm already querying my friends to find out who hasn't seen it yet, so I can sneak in another showing with them! ;P I used to do repeat viewings of summer films ALL the time when I was younger, but it has to be something really worthwhile nowadays for me to make the effort. I don't have those long stretches of free time that I had while in school, bah!

Hope you enjoy tonight!

OH! THAT Nolan! Wow, I didn't know Michael Caine had retired and I'd say it's quite an honor if he'll gladly come out of retirement to work with you. That definitely says something and I'm SO looking forward to this upcoming film now. Thanks for getting me up to speed!

Bad news! My family get-together for Mother's Day ran late and now I might not see Iron Man 2 for a week or maybe even two. Major sad face. Yeah, I still do repeat viewings of some films, but I don't have as much going on as you do. Still, I don't do it with very many films at all because it's not often worth it when I'm as broke as I usually am and I hate committing that much time to anything in the first place. : )

Here's hoping I see Iron Man 2 sooner rather than later.

Iron Man 2 was great, I agree. And the Inception trailer actually made less excited for the movie (I assume it's the one they showed at WonderCon). I hope it's not really boring.

It's not the same one they showed at WonderCon (or so I'm told) - it's cut together differently and contains some new footage. And the score! Oh my frell! I love the score so much. I had the official website running in the background while I was at work on Friday, that's how much I love it. Um. *hides*

Now that they've released the official synposis and put out a trailer that actually explains what the movie's about, I am not sure I will have the capacity to be bored, because it touches on things that utterly fascinate me. But, you never know. Fingers still crossed!

Okay, that is definitely a better trailer! All right, now I'm excited again. The score is great, I agree. And I got one of those spinny tops at WonderCon! Oh, and I will be wearing my Inception Dream Machine shirt today.

I'm a huge Black Widow fan (for reasons I'd be hard pressed to quantify other than she's a redheaded Jason Bourne. But cooler. And with breasts. (albeit historically cartoon ones >.>))

THIS IS SO APT. Hahaha. Sorry Bourne, you know I love you.

Yeah, I was waiting for a Russian accent too, but I'd rather she ditch it entirely than attempt it and fail, so I shall live. But oh yes, the knowledge that it could've (and should've) been Emily Blunt kills. Oh well, maybe she can still be Selina Kyle? :D (I am holding out hope.)

The establishment of Black Widow in the Marvel movie 'verse leaves me wondering what will happen with the eventual Daredevil reboot... I kind of hope Fox drags their feet on it and lets the rights default back to Marvel Studios. I think MS are the only ones who would bother spending the right amount of money AND (more importantly) talent on a new DD film. :/
