And while I'm sitting here going WHAT HOW, my boss brings me a gift: three little dancing wind-up robots for my desk. Two boys, one girl, to represent our department. Yes, they know me here ( Read more... )

I watched Avatar in 3D in a regular theater. I too had a few moments of vertigo, where I had to take off the glasses and look at my very stationary soda or the heads in front of me for a few seconds to reorient myself. I loved how beautiful everything was, the way it all glowed at night. LOVED this movie.

Yes! Nighttime on Pandora is spectacular. I'm really bummed that once this movie is out of theaters, that experience will be gone; even if they sell the DVD/Blu-ray with 3D glasses (as they did for Coraline) it just won't be the same as the big screen experience.

I saw Avatar in 3D yesterday, and it was very pretty, and I liked it well enough, but the story was just so cliché and cheesy.

I look forward to watching Supernatural with you guys too! The family dynamic is totally key.

Yeah, I'll admit that I was a bit surprised at just how cliché it was, but I'm wondering if that's because the story was conceived so long ago... I really am interested in a sequel for this reason. I have a feeling it'd be a lot more interesting textually.

The more you see Dean, the more you realize he's so screwed up that he's NEVER going to have a normal life. Sam maybe could readjust somehow, but Dean can't and never will. In a lot of ways he never grew up and is too damaged to.

Sorry, I came from dangermousie and had to comment on SPN.

Hey, don't apologize! I'm always happy when new peeps stumble by. :D

Yeah, we recently watched Something Wicked and it definitely confirms that there's more than one reason Dean defaults to his devil-may-care attitude. I can't wait to get further into the mythology, and my husband is officially feeding the potential obsession - he got me S3-4 on Blu-ray for Christmas! We're DOOMED.
